Who does the promotion?

Do you do your own advertising / promoting your site or does someone else do it for you?

Do you do the advertising with others helping you with the process somehow?

I advertise my forum mostly, but others help. They help by sharing on social media sites content from my forums.

I do my own promotion for the most part, but one of my staff members also helps out with his twitter account.

I am currently in the process of building up content on my site at the moment so I haven't started advertising yet. I'm sure I will be advertising soon and I'm sure I'll do the majority of it myself, if not all of it.

I've usually done my own promotion when I have ran a website or a service. It is a little bit easier to track that way but so long as you can get others to tell you where they've advertised your site so that you can keep an eye on it then that works too.
