What's the meaning behind your username?

It's something I started using in around '05/'06. It actually just started off as a joke because I meant to type "lol" but I accidentally hit the keys next to it and it came out "kik". It's stuck with me ever since for some reason

That's cool! What video games do you like to play?

All different kinds! But my favourite genres are survival horror/zombie, action/adventure, some FPS games and RPG's. Some of my favourite games are Resident Evil, Telltale: The Walking Dead, Bioshock, Borderlands, Harvest Moon, Skyrim, Fallout, Legend of Mana, The Darkness, Grand Theft Auto etc. My list can go on forever haha.

How did you come up with the forum that you have now?

Bit of a long story xD

I had been looking for a Walking Dead forum for awhile but I like smaller communities so the huge ones that had been around for years didn't really appeal to me. I found one that was just starting out on MyBB and joined. It was a bit disorganized and lacking in forums so I gave the administrator some advice and suggestions and after posting quite a bit he made me an administrator to help around the board. I ended up making a theme for the forum which seemed to attract a lot of members and it was going really well. It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of plans, including to add a RP.

Until he PM'd me on Forum Promotion and told me that he didn't have the time to run the forum anymore and couldn't afford to pay for the domain, etc. I told him I would gladly assume the responsibility and the payments, but I couldn't talk about it much because it was the day after Christmas and I was visiting family. By the time I got back home he had already sold the database to another newish Walking Dead forum that was on XenForo and I couldn't do anything about it. Luckily the theme I had made wasn't in the deal because I never agreed to any of it.

The administrator of the other forum offered me a moderator position and I gave it a try, but all of the members from the original forum including myself felt alienated and none of our suggestions were considered at all. The database was pretty much just bought for the numbers and they didn't seem to care at all that we felt that way. I didn't want to be in a community like that.

Soooo I went ahead and just made my own forum on ZetaBoards because that was what I was most familiar with and most comfortable with. Over three years later and we're still going strong while that other forum died and was merged into some other one that the owner was also running. No regrets at all

tl;dr I worked on a different TWD board first and after putting a lot of work into it the owner decided to sell it without talking to me at all so I just made my own instead!

I also love zombies so making a board for The Walking Dead was a give in once I had the motivation xD
