Trash/Rubbish Bin or Permanently delete?

When it comes to old posts, obsolete announcements, etc. - do you permanently delete these posts or do you have a dedicated board where you consider them as "trash" ?
For my forum, we have a 'trash board' which we actually call "The Recycling Bin" just because we like the idea of being able to go back and retrieve old topics for future reference.

In my educational forum, I have this "Basket" where I move topics that can be possibly recycled in the near future, or when needed. If there are spam posts, I do not permanently delete them (when I tried it, the number of posts on the board decreased; I don't want that to happen). I have this "Private Basket" where spam posts or controversial topics/flame topics are stored. They're not seen by the members.

I always use trash. No point in deleting.

I prefer to trash instead of using delete. The only time I would permanently delete things is when it's just spam bots. Anything else I move to trash, so that I can refer back to it later if I need to.

When I was younger, I would delete stuff without thinking about the value of saving things for later. Now I move everything to a hidden archive, so that I can refer to them at a later date.

I have a hidden Bin spot where everything that's inappropriate is moved.

I'm like Hissae. I only delete it if it's spam bots or anything like that. The rest of the time, I just movie it to the "recycle bin" on my forum.
