I came across this notification today regarding a service on Facebook where you can Boost your page for $10 and reach up to 1200 people.

Has anyone here ever tried it? I'm curious if it would be worth it. ...or is it only worth it if your page is really built up with posts and pictures, etc?

I haven't tried that, but it looks good for a boost. If it functions like a package from promotion forums, then I think it'd be worth it. But if it is just like a pushed advertisement on our news feeds, well, I don't know.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it just pushes an ad into people's feeds. I haven't heard much about its success rate yet from forum owners so currently I'm just holding off on it. I think it may just want to put that money towards a contest or something. I haven't decided yet.

My friend has tried it, and he told me it was effective in providing visits, but not memberships. It still relies on the forum niche you have, as well as the appeal/look of the forum.
