Advertisement images and links in signatures are somehow effective. Also, joining promotion forums has an effect in the boost of activity and membership in the forums.

Pretty much the same. I also made YouTube videos to advertise my forums.

I tend to post links to my forum on Facebook as well as on Google+ and on promotional forums too. I also include the link to my forum in my signature on various other forums too.

I use the share links on my forums to share on my social media accounts. I start promotional topics on other forums.

When you share on social media, like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc., it helps to get more entries on search engines.

I don't have a forum currently and I haven't bothered tying to promote my previous forum. Maybe I shall try and if I do I'll likely use Forum Promocean since that's what it's about.

That is an amazing boost. I don't have a forum yet but I'll think this option out since it is somehow promising, though it is very dependent on location and interest. For now, I'll use promotion forums and the SNS whenever I'll advertise.
