Get a free domain (.tk , .ml , .ga)

I just joined up Promocean team as Packager . I like the design of the forum . I headed to each boards and saw the contents , it was awesome . The only think I dnt like is on the persons who dnt know about the free domains like .tk , .ml , . ga etcc . They use the sub-domains which are provided directly by the free hosting providers . As of the wikipedia and other bloggers view the long domain decreases your traffic and harms your SEO . So why Not using the free domains like .tk , .ml , .ga , .cf etcc . Using that sub-domain makes ur URL long like mywebsite.forummotion.com . Does this suits your site . Ok , If You donot like this free domains , You can use .pw like domains . It is the cheapest domain . It take 0.88 $ per year . I prefer using the domains not the sub domain provided by free hosting company .

Thanks for sharing, it will surely help others. They are better than sub domains and easier to type in, however from an SEO aspect, they don't really improve it as Google doesn't like free domains, especially .tk. My personal favourite is .co.cc as it sounds less free if you know what I mean.

They do help increase your traffic, but by very little and the domains are very limited. It's worth it if you are looking for just a small boost, but in the long run, they don't help much.

I recommend them for people who are on a budget. You can get one of the domain names for a year free, which is good. But I think a more well known TLD is better to have in the long run. Freenom also offers TLD for cheap prices as well! Some of them are a bit cheaper than Namecheap, that surprised me honestly.
