Regarding Forum Battles

I noticed that in the case where there is tie the battle is just locked and archived and no winner is declared.

I understand the reason behind this, as a battle must end some time and locking it and archiving it keeps things tidy.

However, I'd like to suggest that there be a system where perhaps the battle can be extend another few days just to see if there is a tie breaker, a moderator announces in that thread that the battle has been extended and in need of a tie breaker... and then perhaps if there is no activity after say 3 days, then permanently lock and archive it.

...just a suggestion.

By the way, the battle between Languavel vs. ChattBB a poll was added on July 26th yet it was closed July 30th. (I thought battles are supposed to last 7 days?) I mean yes, the thread was started on the 23rd which makes the 30th 7 days...however, starting the thread and having someone accept the battle doesn't always happen on the same day.

All battles are two days due to the contest, I left it open two extra days to break the tie but it was still a tie, in the Languavel vs. ChattBB.

I think it would be good to have an official thing where a battle goes on two more days or something when it's a draw. Let's see what others think.

I guess there are not a lot of people participating in the forum battles right now so it's not really seen as an issue. Thanks for hearing me out anyway.

If there is a tie, the owner of ForumPromocean should decide the winner.
